Causes of Abnormal Wear of Forklift Tires

1. When the tire pressure is higher than the standard value, the center of the crown is grounded, the contact area between the tire and the road is reduced, the load per unit area is increased, and the wear of the middle of the crown is intensified. The tire cord is overstretched, the tire body cord stress increases, the cord fatigue process is accelerated, and the cord is pulled off, resulting in early tire burst.


2. Under a certain load and tire pressure, the speed of the forklift increases, the deformation frequency of the tire, the vibration of the tire body and the distortion of the tire circumference and side (forming a static wave) increases, the heat generated by friction per unit time increases, the working performance of the tire decreases, and even the phenomenon of cord layer rupture and tread peeling occurs, accelerating the wear and damage of the tire.
3. Road conditions also have a great impact on the service life of forklift tires, which affects the friction between tires and the ground and the dynamic load on tires.
4. Due to the different load distribution of the front and rear axle of the forklift, the different working characteristics of the driving wheel and the steering wheel and the difference in road conditions, the wear condition of each tire is inconsistent. If the tires of the same factory, the same size, structure, level and pattern are not replaced on both sides of the same axle, the wear of the tire will be accelerated.

5. In use, if you do not pay attention to reasonable collocation and regular transposition, resulting in uneven load bearing of forklift tires, it will also accelerate tire wear.
